چکیده

Much of this material is not reusable and is usually deposited in a landfill. A study conducted in Wisconsin estimated that construction of a typical single family home in 1992 encumbered waste disposal expenses of over $700.2 The study estimated that between 77,000 and 102,000 cubic yards of construction waste was generated in Dane County alone, at a disposal cost of between $1,000,000 and $1,450,000. Wallboard was estimated to make up 15% of the waste by volume.

Experimental Study on Punching Performance of Recycled Aggregate Concrete Thin Wallboard with Single-Layer Reinforcement

Recycle Aggregate Concrete (RAC) is a common “green” product used for a variety of purposes, although the durability and strength of the material still need more research to adequately determine influences on these parameters. The failure pattern, punching bearing capacity, and deflection variation of wallboard of both ordinary concrete and RAC with various rebar reinforcement diameters and spa...

Utilization of Powdered Gypsum-Wallboard in Concrete

Two groups of concrete mixtures, one without sodium sulfate and other with sodium sulfate, as an activator, were made with recycled powdered gypsum-wallboard for this investigation. Group 1 concrete mixtures were made using up to 20% of ASTM Class C fly ash and 20% powdered gypsum while Group 2 contained up to 60% of fly ash and 20% of powdered gypsum by mass. Relevant properties of concrete we...

Mitigation of efflorescence of wallboard by means of bio-mineralization

Cement-based material is one of the most versatile and largest amounts of building materials which can not only be used in load-bearing structure but also be used as decoration materials, like brick, wallboard, and tile. However, white calcium carbonate always be found on the surface of wallboard. This phenomenon is generally called efflorescence, which has no damage to wallboard, but has aesth...

Controlled study of mold growth and cleaning procedure on treated and untreated wet gypsum wallboard in an indoor environment.

The basis for some common gypsum wallboard mold remediation practices was examined. The bottom inch of several gypsum wallboard panels was immersed in bottled drinking water; some panels were coated and others were untreated. The panels were examined and tested for a period of 8 weeks. This study investigated: (a) whether mold growth, detectable visually or with tape lift samples, occurs within...
